Copper Consulting Appoints Ronan Cloud Economic Development
Ronan Cloud joined Copper Consultancy as Director. He will lead the firm’s economic development practice.
Copper Consultancy is dedicated to providing strategic communications to support clients in the development of economic and social infrastructure – including many multinational companies and international investors seeking to invest in UK infrastructure. Since its launch, the company has expanded beyond its London headquarters to add offices in Birmingham and Bristol.
The company has over 55 employees – having increased its workforce during a period of major growth. As it continues to build on its momentum from the past year, the company is currently recruiting at all job levels at its offices in London, Bristol and Birmingham. The latest of the company’s recruits is Ronan Cloud, who arrives in its economic development practice.
Copper’s economic development practice helps public and private sector partners achieve a diverse portfolio of projects through stakeholder engagement and strategic communications. The recently announced race to the top strategy and the UK’s goal of net zero by 2050 are two drivers of the firm’s continued growth. In his role as Director, Cloud will be responsible for supporting Copper’s existing customer portfolio, as well as expanding both its offering and its network.
“Since its inception, the practice of economic development has evolved to meet the needs of the changing political landscape,” said Martin McCrink, managing partner at Copper. “Ronan’s expertise and enthusiasm make him a great asset to Copper. Under his leadership, we are excited to take on increasingly diverse challenges for our clients.
Cloud is a seasoned corporate communications strategist, bringing extensive industry expertise and stakeholder engagement to the growing team. Most recently, he worked for public relations firm Weber Shandwick, where he advised multinational organizations and governing bodies, also as a director.
Speaking on the appointment, Cloud said: “Copper is at the heart of delivering the UK’s ambitious plans for a prosperous and sustainable future. There have never been more opportunities to shape the country’s economy as we emerge from the pandemic and attention shifts to a net zero future and the leveling of the nation. I am delighted to join the team at this exciting time.
