NEPC Reviews Zero Oil Plan and Corporate Strategy 2019-2013 for Economic Development – Blueprint Newspapers Limited
The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has begun revising its Zero Oil Plan (ZOP) to respond to current economic realities.
This was contained in a press release signed by NEPC Corporate Communications Officer, Ndubueze Okeke.
Other items to consider according to the press release are the NPC Corporate Strategy 2019 – 2013, tools for effective performance monitoring.
Declaring open a five-day retreat for NEPC senior management and board members on the theme: “Exporting for Survival”, Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ezra Yakusak implored the officers to participate fully in the construction of a virile organization for the benefit of all and the growth of the national economy.
Dr. Yakusak, while outlining the business objectives and expectations of the Council in its quest to reposition the non-oil sector for the sustainable economic development of the nation, said the objective of the retreat was to create an atmosphere productive engagement and interaction to assess the Board’s operational activities.
He said the retreat was aimed at reviewing the council’s vision, mission and challenges in pursuing the promotion and diversification of Nigeria’s non-oil export trade.
“Ultimately, a roadmap design process will be put in place and that will give us a blueprint to focus on in the years to come,” he said.
The retreat which began with a practice session also provided a platform for an effective relationship between the board and management to enhance organizational development with a view to creating a motivated workforce and productive as well as an effective communication and brand/communication strategy.
